| Julian Exclusa of Florida Builder Appliances is interviewed on outdoor kitchen design by Accent Magazine, Spring 2012 |
![]() Flow, and the efficient use of indoor/outdoor space seem to be key ingredients in designing a successful outdoor kitchen. “When we pay taxes and insurance on a house, we’ve paid for the environment around that house,” says Julian Exclusa of Florida Builder Appliances, an upscale division of Sears Holdings Corporation. “We’re not just sitting in a cubby hole.” Exclua works with athletes, entertainers and others to design and equip custom homes, and he’s critical of some architects who “hide” a house’s kitchen in the corner. “If you’re entertaining, you’re looking at the expanse, or you should be, whether it’s the Colorado Rockies or the Caribbean.” {...}

| Only showroom in Southeast to feature entire line of new Sub-Zero and Wolf products | |
POMPANO BEACH, Fla, March 27, 2012 – Florida Builder Appliances, the largest distributor of premium appliance brands in the state, has announced the debut of a new Sub-Zero/Wolf addition to their Pompano Beach showroom. The newly built room includes the entire new line of nearly 40 Sub-Zero and Wolf items, four of which are the first to be introduced to South Florida. The showroom will be unveiled on May 1, 2012. “This state-of-the-art showroom, featuring the introduction of Sub-Zero and Wolf newest products, is one of the most expansive in the area,” said Ed Holmes, Vice President and General Manager of Florida Builder Appliances. “We are thrilled to house such a prestigious collection of premium appliances and know our customers will appreciate having hands-on access to these superior products.” Construction of the showroom has been taking place over the past several months, transforming the facility to incorporate a 550 square foot space, and all appliances will be fully demonstrable. “One of our key focus areas will be steam cooking,” said Ryan Degraffenreid, Florida District Sales Manager for Sub-Zero/Wolf. “People are making healthy choices purchasing organic foods, and with steam cooking, all of the nutrients are maintained. We’ve seen a big movement towards this and the new showroom will highlight the very latest in steam cooking, and, of course, other trend-setting appliances.” The Sub-Zero/Wolf addition was designed by Tracey Edson, Showroom Design and Display Manager of Florida Builder Appliances. The cabinetry was designed by Michael O’Byrn of Downsview in Dania Beach, FL, and the showroom will be managed by Tim Brohawn, Branch Manager of Florida Builder Appliances. “We’re finding more and more that our customers are choosing ultra premium brands like Sub-Zero and Wolf,” said Holmes. “We are one of only a few select distributors of these brands in Florida, making these appliances a very sought after addition to today’s designer kitchens.” Join us May 1st at 6:00PM for our Unveiling Event, with scrumptious bites prepared by Chef Will Ratley and Sub-Zero/Wolf vendor representatives will be on hand to answer questions on their newest product offerings. See the convection steam oven and outdoor grill in action as Chef Ratley demonstrates the power of Wolf cooking. The event will run until 8:30PM at 1742 W. Atlantic Blvd. Pompano Beach, FL and is free to attend. Kindly RSVP to 954.977.6407 or via email to: mflowers@floridabuilderappliances.com.

| KITCHEN APPLIANCE UPGRADES MADE EASY WITH THE “JEWEL BUYING GUIDE” | |
| Standards of Excellence, Westar Kitchen and Bath and Florida Builder Appliances Showrooms Offer Easy Tips for Saying “I Do” to the Perfect Kitchen Appliance
ROHNERT PARK, Calif. (November 2010) — Home remodeling projects, particularly kitchen renovations, rank among the most significant and intimidating decisions for homeowners. For consumers daunted by their own kitchen renovation dreams, Appliance Builder Distributor now offers its new “Jewel Buying Guide” to guide the process. “Many of our customers are inspired to renovate their kitchens around a singular, must-have appliance that will be the ‘jewel’ of their home,” said Lisa Ono, marketing planning manager, Sears ABD Group, the company behind Standards of Excellence, Westar Kitchen and Bath and Florida Builder Appliances regional showrooms. “Our new Jewel Buying Guide takes the guesswork out of choosing appliances and provides a framework to help home remodelers choose the appliances that best fit their homes.” The right “jewel piece” can serve as a kitchen centerpiece and make a new remodeling project distinctive and one-of-a-kind. Choosing the right “jewels” for your home, similar to choosing the right gem for an engagement ring, is an important decision. The Jewel Buying Guide helps homeowners navigate the kitchen remodeling process by outlining the four “S” rules of kitchen renovations: spending plan, setting, style and secondary pieces. The guide is free of charge and available online through Appliance Builder Distributor’s showrooms websites:
Appliance Builder Distributor is comprised of three brands spanning four major markets. Standards of Excellence in Northern California and Northern Nevada, Westar Kitchen and Bath in Arizona and Florida Builder Appliances serve the needs of the building, remodeling and interior design industry, as well as independent homeowners. Each of the 22 showrooms prides itself on providing outstanding customer service beginning with product selection, education, delivery and installation. Additionally, each showroom provides customers with the full kitchen remodeling experience, including kitchen vignettes, top-of-the-line appliances and showroom representatives to make kitchen remodeling dreams a reality. |
